Why direct payment
Uganda already has a payment system that works everywhere a boda goes: mobile money and cash. PlusBoda builds on that instead of forcing a card or an in-app wallet between you and your rider. The fare is fixed and shown upfront when you choose your ride; how you settle it — cash, MTN MoMo, Airtel Money — is between you and the rider, exactly as it works today, minus the roadside negotiation.
For riders this means the money is theirs the moment it's paid, in the wallet they already use. There are no cards on PlusBoda and no foreign payment rails.
